Honorable Chairman, Chiefs, Distinguished members of the high table, Distinguished guest, Ladies & Gentlemen. It is with great honor and privilege that I welcome you to this grand occasion gala night and fund-raising event to empower women overcome domestic violence. Umuada Igbo Foundation International is open to all women from the seven Igbo states of Nigeria. It is our birth right and non-negotiable, we address each other as Nwada to emphasize the significance of Umuada in Igbo culture.

Tonight, we have gathered here to recognise one another and our founder, President and seek financial support to enable us empower women in Nigeria & Diaspora overcome the deadly dilemma of domestic violence. Everyone deserves relationship free from domestic violence.

Umuada Igbo Foundation plans to create awareness regarding domestic violence prevention and intervention programs including but not limited to safety assistance, avenue to report domestic violence, shelter & resources to victims. You all can agree with me that domestic violence is a serious threat for many women, impacting children and families in a negative way.

Tonight, I employ all of you to join Umuada Igbo in this movement to support and liberate women battling with domestic violence. Your donation will enable us to provide resources and financial assistance to these women which will positively impact their children and family.

My special thanks goes to all of you, who made this occasion tonight a huge success. I pray that God will replenish your resources beyond imagination and bless you and your family. I also want to thank everyone who supported us via our brochure. May God richly bless you. To Umuada Igbo event coordinators, executive and members, thank you so much for your support, this event will not be a success without your commitment and participation. Once more, I thank everyone for attending this event and wish you a safe trip to your respective destinations.
